Came here for their New Year's Eve set menu and had a great experience! The flavors were on point, and everything tasted fresh, though I do wish the portions were a bit bigger. The ambiance was nice--not too loud, with a spacious and open feel. We started with the oysters and hamachi ceviche, both of which were light and refreshing. Surprisingly, my favorite dish was the tuna and quinoa salad--it was so flavorful, and the quinoa added a really nice crunch. The adobo was tender and packed with flavor, and the fried Brussels sprouts with tahini sauce were addicting. For dessert, it was good but not as memorable as the other dishes. Service was great--the staff was friendly, and we got seated promptly. Overall, a delicious meal with well-executed flavors.

Cabra never disappoints. We sat at the bar and had dinner on Saturday at 6:30. Had the chick skewers, tuna tataki, shrimp, and mushroom ceviche. Everything slapped. Stephanie is a master at using crunch and acidity in all her dishes. The bartender was INCREDIBLY attentive, fast, and friendly. We always love Cabra.

Came here for drinks after dinner a few blocks down the street. We sat at the bar and the vibes were great. We got the These Boots Are Made For Oaxacan with a mezcal base and it was topped with some cinnamon. Loved it, spectacular. Would love to come back and try out more drinks.

Went for restaurant week and fully enjoyed the options. Everything was super fresh. My favorites were the spicy tuna dipped and that whipped avocado , the tuna salad was a perfect party on my tongue and the pineapple ice cream was the chef's kiss tio a great meal. Love the ambiance, feels like I'm on an island instead of freezing Chicago. My only issue was service. I booked an early Friday late afternoon time of 4pm to avoid the crowds. It was only a handful of people but service was extremely slow and inattentive. I've been here prior and know this isn't the norm, but it was disappointing.

Cabra is one of my fav restaurants and I love bringing out of town guests here! So far I've tried the steak saltado, salmon ceviche, tuna tataki, chicken thigh skewers, jalea mixta, and hot chorizo dip. Everything is honestly sooo good. I would skip on the tuna tataki. Their salmon ceviche is sooo delish but I will say the portion size is quite small for the price (still worth a try though!!) I also wish they were more generous with the potatoes in the lomo saltado since it's only about 5 pieces of potatoes.. everything is so flavorful though I can't help but come back! Make sure to book a resy in advance!! It's located inside the Hoxton hotel and then go grab drinks at lazy bird to end the night!!

I was excited to try this place since I love Peruvian food. The ambiance is vibrant and fun, with patio seating offering a nice view of the city. The lively music adds to the atmosphere, but it can be a bit too loud, making it hard to have conversations with people sitting across from you. The food is absolutely delicious, and this is definitely a great spot to visit with friends. However, the service could use some improvement. It took quite a while to receive our drinks and side dishes. One issue I encountered was the 4% surcharge added to the bill. While it's mentioned in the fine print on the check, it wasn't communicated upfront or on their menu, and this felt a bit misleading. If price adjustments are necessary, it would be more transparent to include these costs in the menu prices rather than adding a separate fee at the end. This surcharge can add up for groups who order multiple drinks . I hope they will remove the surcharge- did not leave a good impression. They have great food and a fun ambiance. People will come and pay for the price. Just be transparent . Hence I can only give 4 star review true to this sneaky surcharge and the service.

This was my second time at Cabra, and I visited with a friend for lunch this past Saturday. On weekends, they sometimes have DJs, and I really enjoyed the music--but then again, I always enjoy good music! It was a sunny day, and I appreciated how much natural light filled the space while still being indoors. I loved all the food, the server, and the overall experience. We were being pretty indecisive, but the staff was super laid-back and didn't mind at all. As for the vibe, you can definitely dress up or dress down here, but if I had to choose, I'd lean toward dressing up.
